A couple of weekends ago, a group of us 2017-ers volunteered for Care Harbor LA.
Care Harbor LA provides free medical, dental, and vision care, along with prevention resources and follow-up care to thousands of uninsured, underinsured, and at risk individuals and families. This event lasted for four days and transformed the Los Angeles Sports Arena into the largest free clinic in California.
Many patients waited hours and hours for a chance to be seen and were extremely grateful for the services we could provide them. It was truly an incredible, rewarding experience. Although the event fell on a busy weekend (right before finals - yikes!), it was the best study break we could have asked for :)
