Here's a consolidation of details for each class concerning grades, content, and each final exam. (Taken from emails, syllabi, and calendar). GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!

Clinical Medicine

• Final will cover the remaining subjects on:
• The Musculoskeletal System, The Nervous System, Skin, Psychiatry
• MIDTERM 1 30% MIDTERM 2 30% FINAL 40%
• 90-100% A 80-<90% B 70-<80% C <69% F
• Students must attain at least a 70% to be considered for any curve adjustment.
• Final Exam: Tuesday October 28^th 10:00 – 12:00

Sensory Vision


The final with have 40 questions. 25 questions will be like a 'MT3' have generally more detailed questions from Chs. 5/6, 7, 9, and 10 (I.e. spatial vision, temporal vision, infant vision, and aging vision).
1-2 questions from the last lab will be on the final. Questions that were specific to the lab quiz on color vision will not be on the final. However, 1 color vision case (for example results of an HRR and FD15 test) will be on the final - as will 14 other questions from MT1 and MT2 material; these would generally be less detailed/more general than you had on the midterms.



• Examinations will count for 90% of the final course grade as follows:



• Midterm 1 : 25%
• Midterm 2 : 25%
• Final

 : 40%
• Laboratory and class projects will count for 10% of the final course grade as follows: Lab Reports/Proficiency/Quizzes/Assignments = 10%

• Final Exam: Wednesday October 29 11: 00 – 1:00

Ocular Physiology: 

• Exam I 30% 
• Exam II 30%
• Final 40%
• 45 questions, comprehensive
• Lens (7), Vitreous (8), Retina (15), Lab (9), Previous material (6)
• Final Exam: Monday November 3, 11:30 - 1:30

Case Analysis & Procedures

• Grading in this course will be based on two midterms, one final exam (with lab written component), and four homework assignments (will be through lab).
• The midterm exam will be valued at 40% of the final grade (20% for each midterm)
• Final exam will be valued at 50% of the final grade
• Homework will be valued at 10% of the final grade.
• The midterm exam will consist of multiple choice questions and the final exam will consist of both multiple choice questions and cases (will be through lab).

• Chapter 1 in Bajandas (see below) is required reading and has numerous sample visual fields some of which are on the final exam

Ophthalmic Optics 

• There will be 2 midterms, worth 100 points each, and a cumulative final examination, worth 160 points. These exams will consist of multiple-choice questions. Laboratory grading will be based on 2 proficiency exams worth 20 points each, a final proficiency exam worth 40 points, and 5 lab quizzes worth 10 points each.
• Final Exam: Friday November 7^th 11:00 – 1:00

Week 9

How's it going EYEnsteins!? How is it week 9 already? We've had a tough quarter so far but we just have a few more weeks left to go. Hang in there guys, WE CAN DO IT! There's light at the end of the tunnel, I promise. Let's finish the quarter strong and show these profs our A game! ;D

Watch out for our Halloween fundraiser coming up. We are doing Trick-or-Treat goodie bags! 4. Thanks to those of you who followed the three practice times rule we set for OHP practice hours. Considering there are still spots open, we are allowing one additional practice hour (now four max). We have had couple problems with OHP boxes not being complete when turned in. I know a lot of times we are in a rush and its hard to see in those dark lanes but try to be more careful. 6. We are trying to work with Dr. Lu about checking out OHP boxes during the weekends… The library schedule is hard to work around! Stay tuned… 7. OHP Lab Final Scheduled for Thursday, October 30th is set aside for those who need to remediate the final lab proficiency. 8. There have been some concerns regarding the Finals schedule.
