Practice Schedule for Buiding C

Due to recent events, we must enforce a stricter practicing schedule in rooms C216, C218, and C225. We realize this places an inconvenience on you, but we strongly urge you to abide by these procedures. If not, the lab rooms may be locked and no one will get the privilege of practicing outside of lab times. Please take personal responsibility to abide by these rules and also encourage others to take responsibility. The procedures will take effect starting today, September 3.
For any times outside of scheduled lab times in all 3 rooms, we will use the following assignments to determine priority:
Odd weeks (weeks 1, 3, 5, etc.)
     Lanes 1-4: 2017
     Lanes 5-8: 2016
Even weeks (weeks 2, 4, 6, etc.)
     Lanes 1-4: 2016
     Lanes 5-8: 2017
Lane 9: 2015 (every week)
If a lane is empty, you can jump in and practice, but the designated class for that week has priority.
Each lane will have a sign-in sheet. Please always sign-in and out on the appropriate sign-in sheet when you are practicing.
Each lane in C216 will have 1 set of drops. Rooms C218 and C225 will each have 1 set of drops on the podium. Make sure the drops remain in the appropriate lane or room that they originally came from. If taken out, return them! If drops go missing, we will have to enforce stricter rules, which is inconvenient for everyone. Don’t be inconsiderate.
If the drops run low, please email Dr. Lu. If any equipment needs repair, please fill out a Repair Request Form (which can be found in each of the labs) and place it in the drop-off box on the podium or give to your lab professor. We have to know when something is in need of repair so that things can get fixed quickly and practice time won’t be impaired.
Please clean up after yourselves, throw away all your trash, try to keep the lab as tidy as possible, and cover & turn off all equipment before you leave. Please be considerate of everyone else who is also using the lab!
When the maintenance crew does their rounds, please take a break from practicing and let them perform their job. When they are done, you can resume practicing. Please do not hinder them or tell them to come back later.
Thank you for taking the time to read this email. We know that this may be hard to adjust to at first, but these rules have been implemented with our student needs and interests at heart. We hope that these rules will make practice time more fair and help keep the rooms fully-equipped and in better working condition for all of us. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know.
Sincerely,
Tiffany Chen, SA Board President
Anhthu Do, Class of 2016 President
Elaine Ngo, Class of 2017 President

Meet the Cabinet!

To help you get to know us a little better, the historians decided to have the cabinet pick a random question to answer. Here were their choices:

Q. What is one goal you'd like to accomplish during your lifetime?
Q. If you could have an endless supply of any food, what would you get?
Q. Who is your hero?
Q. If you could visit any place in the world where would you choose to go and why?
Q. What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten?
Q. What did you want to be when you were little?

And here's what our cabinet members...including ourselves had to say...

\

Miss President Elaine

Q. What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten?

Elaine: "Alligator Tail and Kangaroo kabobs!! Alligator was great but the kangaroo was way too tough for me."

VPs: Miss Tiffany and Miss Sarah

Q. Who is your hero?

Tiffany: "My family members are my heroes."

Q.What is one goal you'd like to accomplish during your lifetime?

Sarah: "I would like to fill my passport (20pages, 10 years before expiration...that means 2 out of the country trips a year)"

Secretaries: Miss Olave and Miss Jaymie

Q. What's the weirdest thing you've ever eating?

Olave: "I am weird and enjoy eating random things. From jellyfish, to grasshoppers, to ox tongue and tail, to ant eggs... However, the weirdest was bull testes... NEVER again. Contact me for further information on my adventurous culinary experiences lol"

Q. If you could have an endless supply of any food, what would you get?

Jaymie: "Ice cream, hands down. I have a major sweet tooth. :) "

Treasurer: Miss Christina

Q. What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten?

Chistina: Hamsters treats. "My friend had a hamster, and she would feed it these hamster berry treats that smelled EXACTLY like Cap'n Crunch Berries, so I tried one to see if it would taste like the cereal. It did not."

Historians: Miss Liz and Miss Coree

Q. Who is your hero?

Liz: "J. K. Rowling! I feel as though her books shaped me when I was growing up. And besides being a literary genius, she's such an inspiring philanthropist!"

Q. What did you want to be when you were little?

Coree: "When I was really young I wanted to be a garbage truck driver. I'd wait in bed listening for the truck and race to my bedroom window to catch the garbage truck come by our house. I thought it was the coolest thing ever! Who knows...my dreams can still come true..."

2017 Class Cabinet

Good luck on the first round of exams and proficiencies for the year!!
